Passover products are specially crafted and certified to adhere to the dietary restrictions and traditions observed during the Passover holiday. During this sacred time, Jewish dietary laws become more stringent, necessitating the production of specific foods (called Chametz) that comply with these requirements.
Chametz refers to any food product or ingredient that is made from one of the five grains—wheat, barley, rye, oats, and spelt—and has come into contact with water and been allowed to ferment or rise. During the Jewish holiday of Passover, which commemorates the Israelites' exodus from Egypt, the consumption of chametz is strictly prohibited.
